Bosch Dishwasher not draining at end of cycle
Bosch Dishwasher Not Draining, what to do?
At the end of the washing cycle, your Bosch dishwasher base may be still full of soiled water: it Won't Drain! The component charged by pumping that water out of the dishwasher is the drain pump, it drains the water through the drain tube.
The drain hose usually goes from the dishwasher to the basin (air gap). Bosch dishwashers has the air gap that appropriates to the upper of the sink. From there, another tube combine the split in the air gap to the garbage disposal.
Firstly, Before inspecting the Air Gap or disassembling the Drain Hose, you must check and clean Bosch Dishwasher Filter.
To repair and troubleshoot this problem, you may first check the dishwasher filter, see if something is not blocking the water issue. There is a screen in the dishwasher that is presumed to block big particles of food from going into the drain tube, but occasionally, small pieces can get through and block the hose.
If you discover a large piece of food or glass caught in the filter, take it off and then run the rinse cycle to see if the dishwasher drains.
Perfect, thank you. Our Bosch DW stopped working or would just run and leave water in the bottom and then stop; suddenly after 2 years of use. I thought it was defective. I went through your suggested steps and correct, the filter was blocked. Now it's working again and as expected. Funny I remember the installer telling me I should clean that area regularly and I smiled and nodded but he was very right. Anyways, thanks again and this was extremely helpful for me.
ReplyDeleteMy filter is clean and hold water after cycle. Only cycle I can run is quick wash.
ReplyDeleteAny other cycle tries to drain and then says clean. I ran vinegar thru it thinking it was grease buildup. But doesn't seem to be issue.
Yes, mine also runs through rinse cycle but any other cycle will not drain properly...
ReplyDeleteSO I have gone through all this, replaced the pump and still not working (I went through a rinse cycle). Any other suggestion?
ReplyDeleteI ran loads of vinegar through ours and walla. Started to work. These things don’t like anything to do with grease. I would power yours down. And wait 5 minutes. See if it resets. Make sure plastic pc inside pump area under screen is in place. Has to do with drain pump. Maybe that will help. Good luck
ReplyDeleteThey are temperamental. Vinegar loosens up. Any junk. But 2 cups of vinegar and let it run. When it’s done. Repeat. It will help. I have cups right side up. So water pushes vinegar out. Don’t dump it in bottom in case it does drain.
ReplyDeleteI have a Bosch SHX46A06UC/14 and water is not draining not blocking it and it was working before yesterday Makes a humming noise when trying to drain, does this mean my pump needs to be replaced?? PLEASE HELP!!
