Bosch Dishwasher Reset
Bosch dishwashers reset is a little hard to do, for the reason that the controls being hidden on the upper of the door.
If the dishwasher is in the process of washing or rinsing, prevent burns by the high temperature water: open the door just right to brake the machine from running.
Rest slightly, about 10 seconds - until the water noises have stopped - before opening the door enough to work the keys.

Finally, the answer. After almost a week of no dishwasher and troubleshooting, all I had to do was reset my bosch dishwasher by holding down the two toggles/buttons that said cancel drain. The problem was that the last cycle was interrupted. I should add I replaced an old non return valve. In the end, I think it was that the previous cycle was interrupted. Good luck folks especially the moms like me :)
ReplyDeleteI did the same! Replaced inlet valve. Didn't work. Took it apart and put it back together but couldn't find a solution. Bought a new dishwasher. Luckily before delivery I tried Cancel and it worked fine. Bosch should advertise this more.
ReplyDeleteWhat if it never turns to 0:00 on the display?
ReplyDeleteWhat if it never turns to 0:00 on the display????
ReplyDeleteBottom shelf does not clean properly. Top shelf is fine. Filter and spray arm both clear.
ReplyDeleteStay away from Bosch dishwashers! They really suck… We've had hours for only a couple years it has probably been used maybe 30 times and it already needs a new control board. It was installed in our guesthouse!
ReplyDeleteYours must be the exception to the rule. Because generally Bosch dishwashers get the thumbs up in every blog I've read.Even checking threads on dishwasher faults and most people turned to Bosch after being disappointed with their original purchase of another brand.
DeleteMight not be the control board. A relay in ours (quite old) that controls heating had failed. Actually got so hot it melted the solder. A youtube video showed where to get a new and better relay and how to unsolder and replace that relay. Worked great every since.
DeleteThank you!!
ReplyDeletecan not reset my bosch diswaher. did the reset button thing. turned off the breaker for 10 min...nothing. when I turn it back on...it always says 2:30 on Auto and can not change that screen.....just about the throw it across the street...
ReplyDeleteWe have a Bosch dish washer model number 9000359119 rev c with on/off and cancel.. reset button along with sanitizing and normal. It was going on for 2 hours and did not realize why.. my wife said she opened and closed. i am guessing it messed up the cycle. however i am not able to reset... No water is coming nor is there stagnant water. motor runs but nothing else is happening. normally it starts when we close. now, when the door is open and switch is on it makes noise.
ReplyDeleteNeed help on to how to reset if that is the issue.
Did you figure it out? Mine is doing same thing!
ReplyDeleteOur Bosch dishwasher model number SHE68T55UC/02 was the worst dishwasher we have ever had. The print on the front panel faded shortly after we purchased it, and Bosch would not come out to replace the panel. We were given a price of one hundred dollars to have the work done! In addition, there was a safety recall requiring power cords in the model we owned be replaced. Also, there was a very toxic smell when you opened the dishwasher after a cycle, dishes were not clean, and water sat in the drain area at the bottom of the dishwasher. The water in our glasses tasted so toxic that we had to wash them by hand. Bosch customer service was the worst. We spent countless hours on the phone trying to get answers to our problems. They did send two representatives, but neither had a sense of smell, and both dismissed our concerns as inconsequential. The two visits required time off from work and hours of wasted time. We will never purchase a Bosch dishwasher again. We love our KitchenAid dishwasher and highly recommend them.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! I HATE my Bosch appliances! Dishwasher and refrigerator both not working today! UGH!!!!!
DeleteI have had a Bosch dishwasher for about 8 months. All started well, but today it is throwing the dreaded E-28 code. I've cleaned out the drain sump as best I can without getting down on the floor and opening things up. I am trying a test wash now, but hold out little hope. I still have a warranty, but that's always a toss of the dice. in my former home I installed a Frigidaire Gallery (of all things!) dishwasher made in Italy. It ran faithfully for three years, and was doing fine when I sold the house. Against my better judgment I didn't stick with a brand known to me to work well despite the reputation.

My dishwasher is 2 years old. Won’t drain won’t finish cycle and now won’t reset. Did all the troubleshooting. Will buy a whirlpool again, that one lasted me 22 years. Bosch piece of junk.
